Light pollution occurs in built-up locations and is a result of commercial or residential buildings, brightly lit sporting events & common streetlights. For many years, and still to this day, street lights are installed and not always directed in a downward direction, and therefore creating "sky glow." As a result, when you try to photograph the stars and Milky Way they become difficult to identify, your results will not be clear and will resemble overexposed glare...unless you use a StarKeeper Filter from H&Y.
The H&Y StarKeeper Filter is made up of glass constructed by the oxidization of the chemical Neodymium, creating a purple/blue effect that absorbs yellow sodium-vapor, mercury-vapor and yellow light from low CRI LED’s. By absorbing this unwanted light, contrast will be increased and stars will appear more visible and defined - giving you that “pop” when shooting into clear skies at night.
